my sources that i heard from today told me that Stuart has been contacted by the club and he was going to attend training tonight(mon).I for one hopes he goes tonight and everything gets back to norm for the players sake and the club

reinhart...... i agree wholeheartedly with your posting ,and if someone would actually speak to stuart and ask him to come back we would at least have a starting point.stuart never at any point wanted to leave girvan but felt he had been left in a difficult situation and did not feel wanted by the club

Agree with stuarty. This issue should be resolved for the sake of the team.Everybody tha attends games at Hamilton Park should know that the "moaning supporter" is the same everywhere he goes and is more to be pitied than laughed at so come on all Girvan supporters lets get behind Brian and the team.

I agree this issue needs to be put to bed , yes Allan as been at fault in the games and I am sure he will be the first to admit this ,
and yes we do need Stuart back he had a great season last year and I think the problem started when BT dropped him for the final against Annbank at the end off last season and I think any player would feel the same. It's time Brian got this sorted for the sake of the team. And SS should know that there is only a very small number off the support who moan every game even if winning or losing . Was not up at the game yesterday but by all accounts the result does not reflect on the performance of the Seasider's.
All the best for next Saturday up at Ashfield and the rest of the season .

Leavy is a far better keeper than Allan is, you can't blame leavy for the way he has been treated it all stems from the way JUDAS Thompson dropped him for the cup final at the end of last season . At the end of the day we pay our gate money to pay ur wages , so we will criticise who and when we like, if a player ain't pulling his weight for the club .........C'MON THE SEASIDERS

Firstly I would like to say that all Fans, Family and Players need to stop squabbling over the net.
Remember we ALL want Girvan F.C. to do well (AM I RIGHT?)
I would like to see both Girvan Keepers get their heads down to some hard work and fight for that jersey.
I was at todays game and the 5 - 2 score line did Girvan no justice, sure they lost but they played Glenafton off the park for long spells.
Before floods of replies come in I bet ur thinking well a Girvan Supporter would say that but even the Glens knew they were fortunate.
Yes the keeper made a few mistakes that cost dear but like I said he is there pulling the shirt on without a challenge.
So my message is to Stuart Leavy, Get back to Girvan and prove to your fans that firstly you DO want to be NUMBER ONE or walk away and regret it.

allan.. i tend not to find to much about football laughable as you put it .i take it quite serious.certainly dont require a lift from you as i managed perfectly well to get there all last season,although i appreciate brians seat will be available often enough. dont see a posting from stuart about you on the site and dont see why you felt the need to have a dig at him very unprofessional having a go at a team mate. these sites are for fans to debate their clubs issues and stating opinions you have now made it personal,and as for wanting a chat after the game would it be along the same lines as the discussion you had with a female girvan supporter after the whitletts game???????? thats what i call one almighty spitting of the dummy and again very unprofessional on youre part. i wonder if it had been a male supporter would it have got the same reaction ?????????i think its now time to put this to bed

real fans go to games home and away ,pay to get in buy a programme,raffle tickets and spend money at club shops all of the above i do and have done as a supporter of junior football for the past 40 years.forums ,guestbooks whatever you want to call them are relatively new to the junior game and as a junior supporter visit most ayrshire junior sites and others on a regular basis .these forums are all about opinions ,nothing personal as most supporters of football see games from a different perspective only adds to the debate about how the game was ,players management and officials alike .i have only stated my opinion on current developments at girvan which i have a right to do .if someone doesnt agree then they post their opinion simple.however very very seldom on any of the other sites have players ever got involved in discussions.i wish girvan all the best for the coming season.but like most supporters of the club did not think the goalkeeping position was an issue based on previous seasons performances and results.however my earlier comment about being told to go and play ardagh cup games with maybole spoke volumes for leavys future at girvan which i found very disappointing as a supporter of the club

I find this all quite laughable. Jeeves get your facts right. I travel from Glasgow so majority of games I travel down myself. If you want I'll give you a lift to next game and you can check ma car for Brian. Other times I meet Brian and other boys in team at half way point to cut expenses for team.
Also last year ah did get relegated (pat on the back for a bit of factual information) but that same team beat Girvan 3-1 and if my memory serves me right there was a few mistakes in that game that cost you a vital 3 points that would have booked the play off spot, so we are all human. But previous season won the league with Hurlford, so again yer wrong.
Also the games Leavy has played this year I had those same phone call you talk about to let me know Stuart was playing and turned up to be on bench as team game, anything can happen if Stuart got injured then you need another goalie on the bench. The phone call is called man management I think, as I am sure the dummy would have been spat out a lot further in the changing room if just read the teamsheet out etc.
Did Stuart not do the same thing at Hurlford? That was 2 seperate managers that have picked me over Stuart (or did ah give John Crawford a lift as well???) or maybe it was Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles selecting the team.
If you are a real fan Jeeves then I am sure you will see the team improve and push for promotion this year, if you are a Leavy relation then I doubt will see you again, but aw the best mate. IF anyone feels after a game they want to speak with me feel free but you do not have to come on guestbooks with false names to have a dig, least put your real name in so we can see the fans from the family members. Leavy I would not mind seeing you back at the club for a good old battle for the jersey which will benefit the team having 2 good keepers there.

How long u's gonna keep playing this so called keeper , he has been at fault in all the games he has played in. Leavy is still the No1 as far as the supporters concerned . As for the game today the Ref wasted it the sending off KB was a joke . Seems to be when there is a Ref supervisor in the stand the seem to lost the plot and bottle a lot of decisions . As for the team today good 1st half but lost there away in 2nd still need s couple off players , hope Big Stevie O'D is back soon and Moffat has to much to do up front his self (missing Darren) ,

Would just like to say how much Hamilton Park has gone down hill since I was last there.
The place is full of litter all round the ground and i nearly went over on my ankle twice walking up the track beside the stand which was full of pot holes.
The only thing that cheered me up on Saturday was the pie from the shop.
Hope its in better nick the next time i visit.

Various websites say that the club was founded in 1947, but my book of Scottish Cup records says that Girvan played in the first round of the Scottish Cup in 1938/39, losing 4-1 at Duns. Which club was this?

Has anyone got copies of the Girvan versus Forres match programme for sale?

I can remember playing for the Amateurs against Queens Park round about 1960/61 when the referee stopped the game in the second half, pulled all the players to the centre circle and said "At the next foul you are all being sent off". Queens Park were the dirtiest side I ever played against, mind you we were not much better. I think Andy Blackwood captained the side.

The greatest player I ever saw at Hamilton Park was Dennis Law and he just got off the bus and did not play in a warm upgame for Scotland V Germany in 1959. Andy Kerr of Kilmarnock was the centre but he got injured in the warm up and Ian St John of Motherwell took his place. By the way Scotland won 3.-2 and this was Uwe Seelers first In ternational.
