20 Feb 2005 - Away victory v Winton Rovers
Girvan travelled to league leaders, Ardrossan Winton Rovers, on Saturday 19th February and came away with all 3 points.
Girvan took the lead just before half time when Iain Brown held off 3 defenders to score. The half-time score of 1-0 was well deserved in a half where Girvan dominated possession.
Winton had a chance to draw level early in the second half when Girvan defender Stuart Maxwell was adjudged to have brought down a Winton forward in the box. However, the resultant penalty was well saved by Jonathan Lopez in the Girvan goal. (His 3rd penalty save of the season).
Girvan then went upfield and Iain Brown increased the leade to 2-0 with his second goal.
Girvan dominated the remainder of the match and the tie was finally killed off when Iain Brown scored his and Girvan's third goal.
