22 Oct 2005 - Girvan Crash Out of Qualifying Cup
Girvan were defeated 4-1 at home to Selkirk in the Scottish Qualifying Cup Replay at Hamilton Park today.
A strong start and pressure from Girvan was not rewared with any goals and Selkirk struck first in 36minutes, much against the run of play. Soon after Selkirk scored a second making the half time score 2-0.
However, unlike last week Girvan were not able to get back into the game with any goals and the game was put out of Girvan's reach in the second half when Selkirk added a third and fourth before Darren Mitchell scored a consolation goal to make the Final score Girvan 1 Selkirk 4.
Good Luck to Selkirk in the 1st Round of the Scottish Cup against Alloa.
